He Was Just A Boy

He Was Just A Boy

He was just a boy.
A typical little boy and you took him away.
He road his bike and met you that hot Summer day.
It was then you decided to take him.
You can be very rough yet very serene.
I never thought you could be so mean.
You enticed him with your big foamy wave.
It was his life to you he gave.
Your serene sounds can soothe a babe to sleep but,
that day, you chose this one To keep.
He was just a boy on a hot summer day.
He ran to your arms and you took him away.
He could not swim, he could not survive.
Had he learned, he may still be alive.
He was just a boy looking for fun.
A mother cries now that you took her son.

I Can Dream

I Can Dream
I can dream of the day when I will be free
Free of the pain that consumes all of me
I can dream of the life that has gone by too fast
For now my dreams have come in last
Priority now has become my pain
I try to live, but all is in vain
The life I yearn for can be no more
For that part of me has closed its door
Those days of laughter have turned too sad
Happiness has now become second to mad
I can dance no more for it hurts too much
My pain is now my lifelong crutch
I can dream of the day when no more I fear
My eyes will laugh again and not shed a tear
My life may not be what I want it to be......
But still, I can dream.....
